Ancient Greece was believed to have been started around 800 B.C to 500 B.C. Ancient Greece was a highly sophisticated country, with great strides in art, poetry, language, and all of those sorts. Though Ancient Greece wasn't perfect. Greece was finally defeated by Rome in 146 B.C. But before that, Greece had started falling. Many things that caused this decline were: -having city-states weakened Greece because of constant war between them -Greece's city-states kept changing their government, so they were constantly changing alliances -the poorer people or classes were starting to rebel against the rich -eventually, Rome was becoming stronger than the individual city-states
